Take a Japan Airlines trans-Pacific flight, crossing the International Date Line. Enjoy superb in-flight service on board.
Day 02 Arrive Tokyo
Arrive Tokyo Narita airport in the afternoon. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. (D)

Day 03 Tokyo
Start your Tokyo tour with a visit to the Tokyo National Museum in Ueno Park. Then head off to Asakusa Kannon (temple) in Tokyo's oldest district and to the nearby Nakamise pedestrian shopping precinct - you'll see the Akasaka Detached Palace on the way. After lunch at a local restaurant, enjoy a cruise down the Sumida River to Tokyo Bay. You'll then get to wander around the shops, showrooms, and amusements at the massive Odaiba development area, built entirely on reclaimed land. Dinner at a local restaurant. (B/L/D)

Day 04 Tokyo
After breakfast, your tour takes you to the Meiji Shrine and to the Imperial Palace East Garden. Lunch in lively, upscale Ginza. Free time in Ginza before taking in the first act of a Kabuki Show before dinner. Tonight, enjoy a walk around frenetic, electric Shinjuku. (B/L/D)

Day 05 Tokyo / Mount Fuji / Hakone
Your coach will transport you to Mount Fuji, winding its way up to the 5th Station for lunch. You'll descend Mount Fiji's lofty heights to take a ride on the Komagatake Aerial Cableway and to visit the Owakudani volcano hot spring area. Take a boat ride on Lake Ashi. After dinner at your hotel, enjoy a tranquil hot spring dip. (B/L/D)

Day 06 Hakone / Kyoto
After breakfast, visit Hakone Peace Park. Zoom off to Kyoto on a Bullet Train (Shinkansen). Lunch at own expense. The rest of the afternoon at your leisure. Buffet dinner at a local restaurant. (B/D)

Day 07 Kyoto
Full day tour of Kyoto sights. In the morning see Golden Pavilion and Nijo Castle. Lunch at Nishijin Kimono Showroom will be followed by a Kimono fashion show. In the afternoon, visit Heian Shrine, and Kiyomizu Temple. Dinner at a local restaurant. (B/L/D)

Day 08 Kyoto / Nara / Kobe / Osaka
Coach to Nara. Visit Deer Park, and Todaiji Temple. After lunch, continue on to Kobe. Get a panoramic view of Kobe Harbour from atop the Kobe Tower. Visit a sake factory and the Kobe Earthquake Exhibition Memorial Site. Dinner and overnight at Osaka. (B/L/D)

Day 09 Osaka
Today's agenda begins at Osaka Castle. The tour continues to the Omeda Sky Building for an impressive view of Osaka from the Floating Garden Observatory. After lunch you'll have some free time to shop in Osaka's largest and busiest shopping precinct – Shinsaibashi. Dinner at own expense. (B/L)

Day 10 Osaka / Narita / Hometown
After a hotel breakfast, transfer to the airport to catch your return flight to Narita with same day connection back home. (B)
