Day 02/17 Sep Arrive Tokyo
ArriveTokyo Narita Airport in the afternoon. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. (D)

Day 03/18 Sep Tokyo
Start your Tokyo tour to the Tokyo National Museum in Ueno Park. Head to Asakusa Kannon Temple and Nakamise pedestrian shopping precinct. – you will see the Akasaka Detached Palace on the way. After lunch at a local restaurant, enjoy a cruise down the Sumida River to Tokyo Bay. Spend sometime at Odaiba Development Area before dinner at a local restaurant. (B/L/D)
Day 04/19 Sep Tokyo
After a hotel breakfast, visit Meiji Shrine and then take a walk around the Imperial Palace East Garden. After a lunch in the Ginza area, enjoy some free time in Ginza before taking in the first act of a Kabuki show (subject to seat availability). Pass by the National Diet Building en-route to the Tasaki Pearl Gallery. Dinner at a local restaurant. (B/L/D)
Day 05/20 Sep Tokyo / Mount Fuji / Hakone
Your coach will take you up to Mount Fuji's 5th station where you'll have lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, proceed to Hakone. Take a ride on the Komagatake aerial cableway to visit the Owakudani volcano hot springs. Later on, take a boat cruise on Lake Ashi. After a hotel dinner, enjoy a hot spring dip. (B/L/D)

Day 06/21 Sep Hakone / Lake Suwa / Suwa Shrine / Mt. Norikura / Takayama
After breakfast, visit Hakone Peace Park. Enjoy a scenic coach ride to Lake Suwa and visit Suwa Shrine. Lunch at a local restaurant en route. Traverse Mount Norikura to reach Takayama, located in a valley surrounded by the Japan Alps. Upon arrival, visit Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village, a display of over 30 old thatched and shingled houses, some with steep gassho-zukuri thatched roofs built to withstand the region’s heavy snowfalls. The houses, which range from 100 to 500 years old, are examples of the homes of the farmers and artisans who once lived in the Hida Mountain range. Dinner at the hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 07/22 Sep Takayama / Kanazawa
After breakfast, visit Miyagawa Morning Market on the east bank of the Miyagawa River. Then visit Takayama Jinya, which served as the Tokugawa government’s administrative building between 1692 and 1868. Transfer to Kanazawa by coach. Upon arrival, enjoy a walk in ‘Buke Yashiki’, the site of a number of mansions of the senior samurai of the clan that ruled Kaga. Dinner at a local restaurant. (B/L/D)

Day 08/23 Sep Kanazawa / Tojinbo / Lake Biwa
After breakfast, your tour takes you to Kenrokuen Garden, one of Japan's most celebrated gardens. Visit Yunokunino Handicraft Village – the best place to view the process of making Japanese paper, painting and pottery. After lunch in the village, enjoy a scenic ride to Lake Biwa. En route you'll stop at Tojinbo - this beautiful stretch of Japan's north-central coastline features dramatic, giant pentagonal and hexagonal columns of rock shaped over the eons by the waves of the Sea of Japan. Arrive at Lake Biwa in the evening. Dinner at a local restaurant. (B/L/D)

Day 09/24 Sep Lake Biwa / Nara / Kyoto
Morning free to enjoy the scenery of Lake Biwa and the facility of the hotel. We will start off our tour in the late morning to Nara. After lunch at Nara, we will visit Todaiji Temple, Deer Park and Kasuga Shrine. Coach to Kyoto, dinner at a local restaurant before check-in our hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 10/25 Sep Kyoto
Full day tour of Kyoto sights. In the morning view Golden Pavilion and Kiyomizu Temple. Lunch at Nishijin Kimono Showroom will be followed by a Kimono fashion show. In the afternoon, visit Nija Castle and Heian Shrine. Tonight enjoy a cultural performance at Gion Corner, which includes a tea ceremony, flower arranging, traditional music and a puppet show. Day 11/26 Sep Kyoto / Kobe
After breakfast. Continue on to Kobe. View Kobe Harbour from Kobe Tower. Visit a Sake factory and the Kobe Earthquake Information Centre. In the afternoon, visit German House – Ijinkan and take a cable car up to Mount Rokko for a panoramic view of Kobe. (B/L/D)

Day 12/27 Sep Kobe / Osaka
After a hotel breakfast, transfer to Osaka. Upon arrival, visit to Osaka Castle and the Floating Garden observatory. Afternoon, enjoy shopping at Osaka’s largest shopping district – Shinsaibashi. After lunch, you have some free time to shop at Shinsaibashi. Dinner at own expense. (B/L)
