Itinerary

Day 01 Hometown / Tokyo
Begin your “Hello China” adventure either by departing for Tokyo directly from Vancouver or by connecting with Japan Airlines from your hometown at either Vancouver or Chicago.

Day 02 Tokyo / Shanghai
Arrive Tokyo in the afternoon.  After a short break, Connect to a Japan Airlines flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel.
Hotel: 5* Sky Fortune Hotel or similar

Day 03 Shanghai
Hotel breakfast.  Visit fanciful Yu Garden (Yu Yuan) in the heart of old Shanghai.  From there you'll be taken for a stroll along The Bund - the best vantage point from which to view the grand colonial buildings along Zhongshan Donglu, the busy traffic of the Huangpu River, and ultra-modern Pudong on the opposite shore.  Your next stop will provide you with some time to wander around the trendy French Concession (Xingtiandi).  After lunch, you'll tour a Silk Factory.  Then you'll be left to your own devices on Nanjing Road - for some free shopping time.  (B/L/D)

Day 04 Shanghai / Guiyang
Morning flight to Guiyang.  Upon arrival, visit the scenic Hong Fu Temple, the largest Zen Buddhist Temple in Guizhou Province, located inside Qianling Park.  Next stop:  Jia Xiu Tower (First Scholar’s Tower), built by order of a Ming emperor in to encourage intellectuals to score high marks on the imperial examination.  Later on, visit the ancient town of Qing Yang.  (B/L/D)

Day 05 Guiyang
Today you'll be taken to view Huangguoshu Falls.  From there you'll head to Tian Long Tun Village where you'll be treated to a Miao Nationality Dance & Music Show.  (B/L/D)

Day 06 Guiyang / Kunming
Morning flight to Kunming.  Upon arrival, ascend West Hills to the Dragon Gate for a panoramic view of  Lake Dian.  (B/L/D)
Hotel: 5* Kai Wah Plaza or similar

Day 07 Kunming / Stone Forest / Jiuxiang / Kunming  
Morning coach to the Stone Forest.  After lunch.  Visit the famous Karst cave of Jiuxiang.   Return to Kunming for dnner.  (B/L/D)

Day 08 Kunming / Dali
Fly to Dali in the morning.  enjoy an Erhai Lake boat excursion.  After lunch you'll take a cable car up the Cangshan Mountains to visit the Cangshan Mountains Scenic Area. (B/L/D)
Hotel: 4* Dali Regent Hotel or similar

Day 09 Dali
Hotel breakfast.  visit the famous Three Pagodas Temple – the landmark of Dali & a Bai Nationality village.  After lunch, free time to spend at the ancient town of  Dal Li.  Dinner at own expense.  (B/L)

Day 10 Dali / Lijiang
Morning coach to Lijiang in the eastern foothills of the Himalayas.  Upon arrival, visit Black Dragon Pool Park and Dongba Museum.  Hotel dinner.  (B/L/D)

Day 11 Lijiang
Today's tour takes you to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (chair lift included).  Lunch and visit the historical town of Shuhe, Spend the rest of the afternoon at the old town of Lijiang.  Dinner at own expense.  (B/L)

Day 12 Lijiang / Kunming / Shenzhen
Take a morning flight to Kunming with a connecting flight to Shenzhen.  Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel to freshen up.  In the evening visit Splendid China and  the  “Dragon and Phoenix Dances & Music ” show.  (B/L/D)
Hotel: 5* Shangri’la  Hotel or similar

Day 13 Shenzhen / Hong Kong
Hotel breakfast.  Transfer to Hong Kong by hovercraft.  Upon arrival you'll be met and transferred to your hotel.  Rest of the afternoon free.  (B/L)
Hotel: 4* Harbour Plaza Metropolis or similar

Day 14 Hong Kong
A half-day guided tour has been arranged to take you to Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay, Aberdeen Fishing Village and the financial district.  Afternoon free for you to explore this bustling city on your own.  (B)

Day 15 Hong Kong
Free day at leisure.  Put together your own itinerary - there’s so much to see and do!  (B)

Day 16 Hong Kong / Tokyo / Hometown
Transfer to the airport to catch your Japan Airlines flight to Tokyo with same day connection back home. (B)
